Story time!

My view on abstinence used to be pretty much in the grey area. I admired couples who remained abstinent, and if some didn’t, then that’s okay. I figured they obviously loved each other enough to give themselves to their significant other. Then it dawned on me that people use each other for sex all the time; that’s upsetting. I think intimacy is one of the most beautiful capabilities we have a human beings. I began to understand how sacred marriage really is, and that sex shouldn’t just be used as an act of enjoyment. Sex is the farthest you can go, in terms of intimacy, obviously. It procreates life and you’re at your most vulnerable. So I decided to promise myself that I’d remain chaste. Since I hardly trust anyone to begin with, why try to convince myself that a guy couldn’t possibly use me. I guess this comes from my personal lack of trust, but I think promising to remain abstinent is a good commitment.

Last night, since I had some money saved up, I decided to look online for chastity rings. I thought it was a corny idea at first but I’m the type of person who values tangible reminders. After looking at a plethora of websites and comparing prices, I decided to get this ring (the one in the picture). It has my birth stone and I think it’s absolutely beautiful!

Okay, im done boring you. I just thought I’d share my story :-)

I ordered this online at purityringsonline.com for $25.95 + $4 for a 6 month insurance. There was this same ring at christianteepshop.com for $20.35 plus shipping which was around $2.00. But I got the one from purityringsonline because it had the insurance and I like to be safe. Haha :-)
